I read in the Baltimore Sun that Congress wants to get rid of the federal deductions for state and local income taxes, which would hurt people in states with high taxes (like, um, California, New York, New Jersey, Maryland) and leave alone those with no state/local income tax (like, hmm, let's see, Texas and Florida). The article said that Republicans in Congress know that it would disproportionately hurt people in blue states. I bet they had a good snicker about it, too. Bunch of savages.
