What I've read is Thanum an Dhul means "Soul to the Devil" in Gaelic. But since songs are mostly transferred orally, there are probably a few versions out there.

The same album I have "Finnegan's Wake" on has a song called "Norah's Dove," withthe lyrics "If I had wings like Norah's dove, I'd fly up the river to the one I love." It seemed so obvious to me that this was a reference to Noah's dove, that I did a Google search .. and found plenty of versions with Noah, but a few others with Norah as well.

T'under'n Jayus is pretty cool, though.
