It really pains (and frightens) me to say it, but the truth is that as I hear more self-righteous invective from the "Conservative Christian Right" or whatever they want to call themselves I see less and less difference between them and the Islamic fundamentalist crazies who decapitate civilian contractors and fly planes into buildings and committ any number of other atrocities and tell us they're doing it in the name of God.

Really. When Pat Robertson is advocating political assassination on his nationally syndicated television show, can we be at all surprised that his wacko brethren are taking this massive human tragedy and gloating about it?
