United.

"Because despite what our opponents may claim, there are no real or fake parts of this country. There is no city or town that is more pro-America than anywhere else--we are one nation, all of us proud, all of us patriots. There are patriots who supported this war in Iraq and patriots who opposed it; patriots who believe in Democratic policies and those who believe in Republican policies. The men and women who serve in our battlefields may be Democrats and Republicans and Independents, but they have fought together and bled together and some died together under the same proud flag. They have not served a Red America or a Blue America--they have served the United States of America."

You know that is a great quote, but man I just can't help it. I just don't trust any of the candidates...

It's okay, man. Hopefully he'll be given a chance to earn your trust.

My feeling is, he might not be able to do half of the things he says he'll be able to do. He might not be able to do a quarter of it. But almost entirely down the line, the things he says he wants to do and the things I want done line up. Whereas with McCain, whether he's lying or if I take him at his word, most of the things he says he wants to do I think are wrong for the country.

But Obama, with his speeches (which people seem to hold against him a lot, as if being articulate and expressive is a flaw of some sort), is expressing a vision for the best that this country can be. And too often McCain's speeches (and Palin's particularly) set out to divide us from one another. The way he's run his campaign has made me lose a lot of respect for the man.

Perfect.

Man, the difference between the two is staggering, isn't it?
