Old, I Am.

Not only has my youth passed, but the era of nostalgia for the days of my youth has passed on as well. The clear signal is the Transformers movie, based on toys and a cartoon I was old enough to know were crap when they first came out.

"I'm a car! But I turn into a big steaming turd!"

Puh-leeze.

If you can't bring me a Johnny Sokko movie, your giant robots don't impress me.

"Giant Robot, obey. Up, up, and away!"

Of course, today Johnny would probaby control him with an MP3 player or something instead of his watch. Or by means of a funky digital watch, at least.

On a related note, the original Ultraman TV series now has its first 20-episode season out on DVD.

Awwww :(

But I like Transformers! :3

Like Hot Rod :D He was coooool XD

I think Modern Transformers would be the size of paperclips tho or something with how much technology is shrinking >.>;;;

Wouldn't it be funny tho if the movie was about the transformers from the 80s coming to Earth and experiencing culture shock?

Like if there was a transformer that turned into an 80s cellphone and thought he blended in just fine? XDDDDDD

Oh, I could totally get behind playing the Transformers for laughs.

And believe me, Ami, I have plenty of fondness in my heart for things every bit as stupid at their core as the Transformers. It's my fogeyhood coming through.

And Greg -- Ultraman on DVD? Hot damn!

(See, Ami?)
