My Nemesis

I don't care what the consequences are.

Brids can fall out of the skies for all I care. Trees can wither and rot. The human lifeline may last no more than another three generations. I don't give a damn.

Whatever its place in the ecosystem, it has to be stopped. Whatever the cost.

Fuckin' pollen.

Can I hear an Amen?

Maybe you can hear an amen- I can't. My sinuses and right ear has been blocked so bad for a week now that I can't hear anything very well. Allergies led to stuffy led to ice-pick-in-the-head sinus infection here.

I sound kinda funny when I talk, too, so I'll give you a nasally "amen."

I'm a fall allergy person myself, but sometimes on high pollen spring days my skin gets this nonspecific itchiness. I can't scratch it, because the itch isn't in one specific place--it's everywhere.

It's like being on codeine, minus the overwhelming sense of well-being.

So yeah, amen. Feel better, Rob and Sharon.

I'm allergic to codine, actually, so that's yet another obstacle to my ever experiencing an overwhelming sense of well-being.

As for pollen -- yeah, wipe it the hell out. Wretched stuff. Makes me miserable. Get rid of it. And about 98% of all insects, too, while you're at it. They bother the hell out of me this time of year.

Keep the lightning bugs, though. They're cool as all getout.
