You Can't Tell From This...

...but I am rapidly losing my voice. Time for NyQuil-assisted slumber.

If only it effected your ability to type instead of your voice, you'd have avoided saying something so wrong over on Val's page. ;)

I'm sure it looks wrong from self-righteousville, but you tried to scuttle a man's career. Don't break your arm patting yourself on the back.

For the curious (since this probably seems completely out of nowhere for most of you), a link to the post in question.

I didn't really mean to bring the whole topic here. Just wanted to say SOMETHING about your comment.

I wasn't mad at Guggenheim for not scolding Quesada. I was surprised at him endorsing the appearance. Public silence and private acceptance is all well and good, but public endorsement of someone crossing a picket line is not.

And reporting his actions wouldn't have grave consequences. Anyone who thinks that is engaging in extreme hyperbole and has no idea how a union works.

I now return you to your regularly scheduled blog.

Sincerely hope you're feeling better, by the way.

Thanks, Kevin. I’m starting to feel better.

And no problem, I understand why you brought it here; I don't know whether or not Val would have approved a response from you at her blog. For all I know, you tried and she didn't.

I completely sympathize with your support of the strike; I did too. I just think you crossed a line by reporting him. It’s one thing to honor a strike as a nonmember of the striking union; it seems an entirely different thing to enforce it. The WGA and its members are certainly capable of policing themselves as they see fit without our help.

Thanks, Rob...I appreciate your take on it. I guess you and I differ on whether reporting it is my enforcing it or allowing the WGA to have the info to police itself. I mean...I don't think they were spending time googling every internet post of their members and believe they have a method for non-members reporting because they seek such help.

Glad you're feeling better. Hope it continues to improve for you, rather than backsliding enough to disrupt sleep all over again. Thank God for the Nyquil. I always have some in the house. :)
