Lost: Found

Kathy & I saw it last night. So thanks, everyone, but you can erase your tapes and clear your TiVos now, if you were holding things for us.

And what's down that friggin' tunnel?

UPDATE: Here's a link to a list of all the times Hurley's numbers have shown up in the episodes so far. It's a big list.

"And what's down that friggin' tunnel?"

The Block lodge, of course.
Duh.

See, I never saw the final season of Twin Peaks, so that joke should've gone way over my head.

Caught it, tho.

I just gave that numbers list a quick glance. I'm too worn out to go into the whole business of making meaning as well as finding it, but I'll toss out one interesting example of... well, something.

"Charlie has a tattoo on his shoulder with the lyrics "living is easy with eyes closed". This is from The Beatles song Strawberry Fields Forever. The song Strawberry Fields Forever was released on The Beatles' 15th US CD and was track number 8. 8/15." [sic]

Okay, the thing here is this: Charlie doesn't have that tattoo, Dominic Monaghan does. This isn't some freaky-ass Kiefer Sutherland thing with the actor actually getting his character's tattoo. Charlie has this tattoo because Dominic has this tattoo and the choice was to leave it. The same with choosing not to cover Matthew Fox's tattoo.
So I suppose you could say this only makes the parallels weirder...

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought of Twin Peaks. Remember all the discussions about that show as it was airing?

On a tangent, why wasn't the 2nd season of Twin Peaks ever released on DVD here in the USA?
