Giving the conservatives their props

Okay, while looking for an image of James Carville to show Kathy, I found this HI-larious page from before November's election. Haven't read much of it yet, but the pictures are pure gold.

Hats off to you, conservative blogger Korlapundit. You struck comedy gold.

Wow, those pictures are amazing. The comments are funny, but after awhile they fall into a pattern:

"One of them is a [describe monster in fearsome detail]. The other is [Dracula, or whatever]."

The ones that don't fit the formula are the best. Like Mohammad Atta. Priceless.

Unfortunately, Korla's breaking copyright laws by putting the pics on his own site. Don't try this at home, kids!

I was happy that the Reptile (from the Hammer horror film of the same name) got a seat at the table. And I appreciated the nod to Scrubs' "Dr. Acula," too.

Do you really think he's breaking copyright law? Id' think this would fall under "fair use," but I'm no lawyer.

Actually, I wasn't thinking of the magazine covers. Not sure about that. But it's illegal to post photographs to which you don't own the rights. My understanding is that if you list the photo credit and put a link back to the original source of the image, you've covered your ass well enough to get away with it.

This has been a big issue with political cartoons being reproduced on blogs. Apparently you can do that if you pay a small fee at PoliticalCartoons.com.

As someone who makes money off of creative work, I tend to be pretty hardcore about copyright issues. That doesn't mean I don't resent the shit out of the RIAA for not letting authors include song lyrics in a novel.
